How Do I Choose the Right Simlead Drawer Model?
First up, choose your colour - white or grey. White is always great for a clean and classic look. The grey options work well with Tanova kitchen bins in grey and with pull out units in the Vauth Sagel Planero style.
Choose whether you want soft close or push to open with soft close. The Simlead push to open is technologically innovative in that it's 'ever active', meaning you can nudge it open a litte more even if already partially open. This is very handy (terrible pun, we know!) if you're approaching the drawer with full hands and realise it's not open quite far enough. Just give it a wee nudge with your knee or shin and hey presto! Bear in mind, if you select push to open drawers, you'll likely need to consider cabinet surfaces that don't show finger prints!
Select your side panel height based on what the drawers will be used for. Simlead options are 97mm, 138mm, 185mm and 249mm. Installing a mix is a great idea so you can strike the right balance between being able to find things easily - utensils piled up in a big deep drawer is not fun - and not overloading drawers.
Select the runner length. This is going to depend very much on the front to back depth of your cabinet. Simlead options are 350mm, 400mm, 450mm, 500mm and 550mm.
Choose your load capacity. 40kg is more than enough for most kitchen drawer purposes, but if you're putting lots of plates or cast iron cookware in some drawers, you may wish to consider upspeccing to 70kg on those drawer kits.
