The Baptistery of Saint Joan is one of the oldest buildings in the city, constructed between 1059 and 1128 in the Florentine Romanesque style. The Baptistery is renowned for its three sets of artistically important bronze doors with relief sculptures, one set created by Pisano and two by Ghiberti. Many historically significant figures were baptised here. The octagonal baptistery stands in both the Piazza del Duomo and the Piazza San Giovanni of Florence - Firenze in Italian - which gives us the name of our Firenze handle range with its octagonal elements.
