When Do You Need Anti Slip Matting?
Anti slip matting is useful for preventing items from sliding in drawers as you open and close them. If you have newer drawers they may well have gentle soft close funtionality, which means contents are less likely to skid in the drawers. For drawer systems without this, however, glasses, mugs and crockery can move quite a lot. This movement can be irritatingly noisy and, even worse, can even cause items to chip or crack. So, anti slip matting can be a useful way to reduce both noise and damage.
Similarly, anti slip matting used in utensil drawers, even in tool box drawers, can help prevent heavy items from sliding and knocking into drawer sides or into lighter, possibly even fragile items. And of course, preventing items form moving means they'll be where you expect them to be, making it faster to grab the item you want.
