San Francesco di Paola, located to the west in the main square of Naples, was planned, in the early 19th century, as a tribute to Napoleon. After his death, the construction was completed by Ferdinand I and converted into a church dedicated to Saint Francis of Paola, who had stayed in a monastery on this site in the 16th century.
Reminiscent of the Pantheon in Rome, the church is circular with two side chapels. The 53 metre high dome provides the inspiration for the naming of our Francesco range of knobs.
